My First Ever Barnes and Noble Signing… and I Sold Out!
November 8th, 2024 will forever be burned into my memory as one of the most surreal days of my entire author journey. I walked into the Barnes and Noble at Zona Rosa for my first ever book signing for my debut novel, Love of the Bladed Dove, fully prepared to smile at anyone who wandered by and maybe sign a few copies if I was lucky.
What I did not expect was to see a whole table stacked with my books. I also did not expect the overwhelming wave of emotion that hit me the moment I sat down behind it. And I definitely did not expect what came next.
Barnes and Noble had pre-stocked copies for the signing, and every single one of them sold out.
Every. Last. Copy.
Even now, writing this, I am still completely stunned and beyond thankful. I kept thinking, They actually scheduled me. They believed in me. And now readers are walking out with my book in their hands. It was a moment I will never forget.
What made the day even more incredible was the people who came. Family. Friends. Strangers who love romance and fantasy as much as I do. Readers who took a chance on a debut author and then stood in line just to meet me and chat about Layla and the Drakaren world. I cannot put into words how special that felt.
To everyone who attended, messaged, bought a copy, or simply cheered me on from afar… thank you. Thank you for making a dream I have carried since childhood feel real. Thank you for reminding me why I pour my heart into these books. And thank you for giving Love of the Bladed Dove a debut I never could have imagined.
I walked out of Barnes and Noble that night with an empty table, a full heart, and a very real awareness that this is only the beginning.
I cannot wait to see where this journey takes us next.
